First of all, I just want to say hi to everybody who follows and/or has helped with the show until now. For those of you who haven’t read the other post, my name is Christian Peterson – or CP, and I’m the latest addition to the MILLIONS production team. I’m really beyond excited to have the opportunity to do the direction of photography for the last shooting days coming up, and to be a Producer of the show to help Andrew and the rest of the team wrap up and push Season 1. I’m always stoked when I hear a good pitch, and when I was asked to collaborate on this, I knew it was going to be special. Andrew’s writing is terrific, and the actors are so good! There’s only that many good dramatic webseries out there, and our hope is that this will be one of the better ones!
The reason I’m posting today is to let you guys and gals know that we’ll be hitting up the ATV: Miss Asia 2012 pageant and show this upcoming Sunday (September 16). The show is organized by the folks over at RST Creative Studios and is an international competition that will send its winner to the Hong Kong world finals (yup)!
This year, the Miss Asia International 2012 in Toronto will once again be fundraising for the Canadian Red Cross Home to Home Campaign. Our goal is to showcase that beauty is not only comprised of the physical attributes of the human body but also the inner compassion of the heart. The most powerful way to improve our society for a brighter and more beautiful future is to improve the health of our world in every region by being a lending hand in alleviating human suffering.
RST Creative Studios not only aims to diversify, but we aim to accurately showcase the true vision and diversity of all Asian communities by connecting all major Asian nationalities. One of the most distinct features of this pageant is the age requirement for eligibility of the contestants. All natural born females within the age of 16-50 are eligible to enter this pageant provided that they have never been married and do not have children.
As you can see, it’s for a good cause, and I’m sure it’ll be a blast, so come out and support! The event will take place at the Hilton in Markham, Ontario (8500 Warden Ave) and they have 3 types of tickets to choose from: VIP dinner, show and dance for $128, regular tickets for dinner, show and dance for $88 or the show-only tickets for $28.
